AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

1.Name : The name of the institution shall be Balasore District Nari Sangha.

2.Area : Its area of operation is within Balasore

District.

3.Date of Establishment: 1955.

4.REGISTERED OFFICE: It’s registered office shall be located presently at Padhuanpada (Raja Bagicha), P.O. – Balasore in the District of Balasore.

5. Any change in address of the registered office shall be duly intimated to the Register of Societies, Orissa and to the Collector/District Social Welfare Officer, Balasore. The Executive Committee of the institution shall be competent to shift the registered office to any where else in Balasore Town area.

6. AIMS AND OBJECT: The aims and objects of the District Nari Sangha (hereinafter shortly the Sangha) shall be as follows:

i) To survey different areas of the district with a view to ascertain the needs of the women folk of various localities and to prepare them to accept and participate in the welfare programme undertaken by the Sangha.

ii) To formulate welfare programmes according to the local needs of different areas.

iii) To work for the welfare of the women and children residing in the district and to contact the International Agencies to get food and milk products and distribute them in the District.

iv) To organise and run parks for women and children in different parts of the district and to provide recreational facilities for them.

v) To run libraries for providing library facilities for women and children in different parts of the district and to run adult education and social education centres with a view to combat mess illiteracy prevailing among women of the society.

vi) To organise Training-Cum Production Centres which shall help the women of the low income group, to supplement their family income.

vii) To provide domiciliary midwifery service for which the Sangha shall open centres in different parts of the district and have its own trained staff.

viii) To make active efforts for raising public contribution both in cash and kind to implement its programmes and to have a building of its own.

ix) To carry out the programme in full co-operation of the authorities of the district administration and the voluntary welfare organisations working in the district with a view to avoid duplication of services either through Government or non-governmental agencies.

x) The Sangha may contact the Government agencies & International organisations for the purpose of obtaining funds to implement new social welfare programmes.

xi) To organise women community and mobilise their potential in constructive channels and to fight for their rightful place in society.

xii) To work for unity of India and nationala integration irrespective of Caste, Creed or religion.

xiii) To publish Magazines and books on women oriented articles.
